On a press conference in West Berlin on 2 April 1963, the British TV presenter Hughie Green (centre) explains how his private aircraft was fired on by Soviet combat aircraft shortly before. When crossing the southern air corridor to West Berlin, Soviet fighter planes wanted to force the plane, steered by Green, to land. When Green continued his flight perseveringly, they fired a warning shot. Nevertheless, Green went on and landed in Berlin-Gatow. On his left, there is the radio operator Cliff Luxton, on his right, one sees the TV correspondent Jim Preston.
