They moved in together just a month after meeting, got engaged at three months and tied the knot just five months after their first date. Danielle and Skylar, both 19 at the time, were the picture of happy newlyweds after they married at the courthouse on the day that Skylar graduated from the army bootcamp. But just months later Danielle would be dead Ð shot in the back of the head by her own rifle. Skylar claimed it was a tragic accident and the gun went off while he was checking it, shooting his teenage wife as she sat at her computer. But cops didnÕt believe him. He never called 911 and didnÕt try to revive or resuscitate. His story also changed several times while he was being interviewed. He was charged with murder and went on trial 18 months after DanielleÕs death. He cried on the stand and continued to claim it was an accident despite witnesses for the prosecution claiming he had a temper and the couple had fought just hours before the tragedy. In the end a jury found him guilty on the lesser charge of manslaughter and he was sentenced to 13 years in prison. HeÕll be eligible for parole when he is 33.
