I tried to commit suicide. Please help me!" Paramedics and cops raced to the scene to find Tiffany holding her neck and covered in blood. As they led her to the ambulance she changed her story. Now she said ex-husband Kris Ertmann had slit her throat and tried to kill her. SHe was rushed to the hospital where she miraculously survived while Ertmann was taken to the local police station in Ogden, Utah. Ertmann claimed Tiffany was trying to frame him - but he was charged with attemped murder. But once in prison awaiting trial, the case exploded when Ertmann tried to hire a hitman to finish Tiffany off. Detectives uncovered his plan and sent in an undercover cop to pose as the hitman - and got Ertmann on camera agreeing a fee to kill Tiffany. He was charrged with obstruction of justice and solicitation to commit aggravated murder as well as the attempted murder. He pled no contest and was sent to prison. But in Utah the parole board decides how long prisoners spend in jail and Ertmann was facing anywhere from six years to life. At his first parole hearing in May 2018, Tiffany and the cops who helped her attended - and were delighted when the parole board denied Ertmann parole and set his next hearing for 2029.
