They insist despite her fun-loving goofy personality she was also incredibly caring and loving. Sadly, it was that loving side of her that ultimately led to her death Ð as she responded to a text she thought was from good friend Sam Herr asking for help. Instead of helping Sam, she was lured into a trap by SamÕs neighbor Daniel Wozniak, who had already murdered Sam, chopped him into pieces and scattered his remains in a local park. Wozniak let Julie into SamÕs apartment, took her into the bedroom and then shot her twice in the head. At first police thought Sam had murdered Julie and gone on the run. But after bringing in Wozniak for questioning as they thought he was an accomplice, they were stunned when Wozniak admitted to both murders. He pled not guilty but it took a jury just two hours to find him guilty Ð and he was given the death penalty.
