Pictured here is: The bloodied pillow and bed where Sandra Duyst died Police thought horse lover Sandra Duyst had committed suicide after her husband DAvid reported she had shot herself in the head after becoming depressed following an accident. But an eagle eyed medical examiner soon realised she had two gunshot wounds to her head - both of which would have killed her instantly. Cops then discovered blood spatter on David's shirt. But the case against him was finally sealed when investigators found a hidden letter from Sandra revealing the previous accident was in fact David's first attempt to murder her with a hammer and that she was fearful he would try again. DAvid Duyst was found guilty of first degree murder and sentenced to life in prison without parole.
