2011-09-06 GV of the 17-century Filberts cottages in the grounds to Filberts House in Aston Tirrold, near Didcot, which are to be developed by owner by Tim Henman. 06 SEPT 2011 See SWNS Story SWHENMAN Former tennis ace Tim Henman has fallen foul of his local council after winning a battle to demolish a 17th-century cottage to make way for a GYMNASIUM. Henman, who turns 37 today, has been given planning permission to knock down the building in the grounds of his £2million Grade II-listed mansion. He plans to build an annexe including living accommodation and a top-of-the-range gym. But residents living near the star's sprawling 'Filberts' estate in Aston Tirrold, near Didcot, Oxon., slammed the ruling. Aston Tirrold Parish Council claimed the project would ''impact on the historic street scene'' and effect on the local conservation area.
