During the interview with Zane Lowe interview for The Beats 1 Radio. Malik admits âäœI always kind of wanted to go,âä âäœFrom, like, the first year really.âä The singer adds, âäœI never really wanted to be there, in the band. I just gave it a go because it was there at the time.âä As for why he felt out of place, Malik says, âäœI couldnâäôt give my opinion because it didnâäôt fit the grain of what we were as a band, and what we represented.âä Lowe also asks Malik if his former band members were aware that he wanted out from the very beginning.
