Gary Steven Krist

Tightly handcuffed and closely guarded by FBI men is accused kidnapper Gary Steven Krist as he leaves the hospital in Fort Myers, Fla., where he was arraigned, Dec. 23, 1968. Krist is charged with the kidnapping of Barbara Jane Mackle, who was taken from an motel in Atlanta, Ga. and found buried in a box in north Georgia after her father paid $500,000 ransom.
