First Soviet-German conference in Moscow

The negotiations between the Federal Republic of Germany and the Soviet Union have started with declarations of principles of both heads of states Nikolai A. Bulganin and Konrad Adenauer in Moscow on the 9th of September in 1955. The Soviet delegation on the left side with Premier Bulganin in the middle, the German delegation on the right side (l-r): Carlo Schmid, deputy chairman of the foreign board, Kurt Georg Kiesinger, chairman of the foreign board, foreign minister Heinrich von Brentano, chancellor Adenauer and state secretary Walter Hallstein.
