Sep. 09, 1955 - LONDON MAN AND AMERICAN GIRL ARRESTED IN MOSCOW FOR DISTRIBUTING LEAFLETS IN SUPPORT OF CZECHOSLOVAKIA. MISS VICKI ROVERE, 24, from New York, and MR. ANDREW PAPWORTH, also 24, of Hampstead, London, were arrested in Pushkin Square, Moscow, yesterday whilst distributing leaflets protesting against the occupation of Czechoslovakia. They were detained for six hours then driven to their Hotel by police and ordered to get the first plane out of the country. they are members of a protest organisation called War Resister's international.
