Apr. 24, 1976 - Law Lords To Decide Riddle Of Peerage Title: A family twenties was re-opened in the House of Lords today, where four law lords sixteen peernare to try and decide the issue. It is a dispute between two sons over the right to the title of Lord Ampthill, who died in 1973. Mr Geoffrey Russell, a theatrical impresario, succeeded his father as fourth baron. But legal action to claimt the peerage was then started by his half-brother, Mr. John Hugo Trenchard Russell, son of the third baron by Alater marriage, The late Lor Ampthill figured in a divorce case more than 50 years ago over Geoffrey Russell, which became known as the ''Russell baby case''.
