Jefferson Market Library at 425 Sixth Avenue at West 10th St. n the Greenwich Village section of New York City on Feb. 1, 1968. This High Victorian Gothic building is constructed with red brick and limestone trim, designed by Vaux and Withers, architects and built from 1874-77. The 172- pyramidal turret has clocks on all four sides and once served as a fire watch tower. The trial of Harry Thaw, the assassin of Stanford White, took place in the Jefferson Market Courthouse.
