Nov. 11, 1968 - Greek Faces death today: Despite appeals for clemency and protest demonstration outside Greek Embassies throughout the world, the man who tried to kill Premier George Papadopoulos was scheduled to be executed today. Alexandros Panghoulis aged 30, has refused to ask for clemency but his lawyer is appealing to the Supreme Court for retrial on the grounds that all the evidence was not presented to the Military. Premiere Papdopoulos is reported to be hesitant to carry out the execution. In London 18 young Greek continued their hunger strike outside the Greek Embassy in Upper Brook St.Mayfair.
