(FILES) -- A French soldier holds the hand of another French soldier trapped in the rubble of the 'Drakkar' building in Beirut which was destroyed by a suicide truck bomber overnight, 23 October 1983. Fifty-eight French soldiers and five Lebaneses were killed in the attack. The troops were part of the FMSB, (Beirut security multinational force) that was installed to keep security in the Lebanese capital after the Israeli invasion of 1982. Lebanon, mired in political crisis and hit by a series of bomb attacks, is to mark 13 April 2005 the 30th anniversary of the start of its devastating 1975-90 civil war with a cultural and sporting festival under the slogan of "unity".
