A vacuum column is put upright in the new Caltex refinery in Raunheim on 05 January 1963. The vacuum column is one of the most important machines of the crude oil destillation, which is used to separate crude oils and win high-grade "side streams" which are used for benzines, aviation turbine fuels and diesel fuels.
