(FILES) File photo dated 22 May 1996 shows Martin Bryant, the 28-year-old gunman who killed 35 people and injured 18 others during a shooting rampage in the historic settlement of Port Arthur on 28 April 1996, appears on a video screen during his first court hearing in Hobart. It is reported 20 December 2000 that Bryant has made another attempt to take his life after being found bleeding in his cell in Hobart's Risdon Prison.
