RIOTING SOCCER FANS TRY TO BREAK THROUGH FENCE IN BUENOS AIRES

BAS04:SPORT-SOCCER:BUENOS AIRES,20DEC97 - Argentine soccer fans try to break through the fence separating the playing field from the stands as police blast them with high pressure water hoses during one of the last matches of this season's League championship between archrivals San Lorenzo and Huracan December 19. One fan was killed and another reported in serious condition following the street clashes that ensued between fans of both teams as they spilled out of the stadium to continue the battle.
