Heroic British nurses in Shanghai stick to their posts . London nurse at Shanghai Hospital . Throughout Shanghai there is praise for the heroism of British nurses at the Isolation Hospital , in sticking gallantly to their posts in spite of the danger of being blown up by misdirected bombs during the Chapei fighting . The hospital is just within the boundary of the International Settlement . Among the nurses at the British Hospital is Nurse Glencoe Honor Harding , who was trained at Charing Cross Hospital , and later served at the Hendon Cottage Hospital . Her home is at Haslemere , Surrey . She joined the hospital staff at Shanghai last year . Nurse Harding ( left ) with a friend when she was at Charing Cross Hospital . 1 February 1932
