Sep. 09, 1955 - BRITISH WARSHIPS SAIL FOR CYPRUS.. THE ''WOODBRIDGE HAVEN'' AT CHATHAM. Seven British warships which were to have left Britain to join the Mediterranean Fleet at Malta next month have had their sailing date advanced because of the Cyprus trouble...Among them is the WOODBRIDGE HAVEN (1,652 tons) a frigate type Headdquarters ship left Chatham this afternoon. Six Minesweepers are leaving Harwich later today...The vessels are to strengthen smuggling to the island.
