AUSTRALIAN PILOT KIDBY STANDS NEXT TO PLANE

ATH01:CRETE,GREECE,28SEP98 - Australian pilot Lang Kidby poses next to his 1927 Avro Avian aircraft after landing on the island of Crete September 27. Kidby is flying the 71 year-old plane totally alone and no support planes maintenance crew or helpers, are available to him as he flies through 18 countries to commemorate the first solo flight between Europe and Australia.
