A detail from the Thinh tomb discovered recently is shown to the press on December 22, 2008 at the Saqqara necropolis about 35 kms south of Cairo. Egypt's culture minister Faruk Hosni announced yesterday that an Egyptian archaeological mission headed by antiquities department chief Zahi Hawass has discovered two new rock-cut tombs in Saqqara, 400 meters south of the famous step-pyramid. The Thinh tomb belonged a Fifth Dynasty singer who lived and performed over 4000 years ago. AFP PHOTO/SAMEH SHERIF
