Nov. 11, 1962 - British Scientists Share Nobel Chemistry Prize. The 1962 Nobel Prize for Chemistry is shared by two Cambridge scientists, Dr. Paul Cowdrey Kendrew and Dr. Max Ferdinand Perutz, for their studies of globular proteins. They are at the head of the Medical Research Council unit for Molecular Biology.
