LEISURE

Comedienne Carol Burnett poses with a door during a ceremony at the Pacific Hollywood Theatre in Hollywood December 21, 2006. Burnett worked as an usherette at the theatre in 1951, and after refusing to seat a couple during the last ten minutes of a thriller movie, was fired. As Burnett's fame grew, she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which she asked be placed in front of the theatre. Theatre officials presented Burnett a door (shown background) from the theatre as a Christmas gift during Thursday's ceremony. Burnett will use the door in a media room at her new home.
