Persecuted Jews 1939

After a double Atlantic crossing following the refusal to allow the German liner St. Louis to land her 907 Jewish refugees in Cuba, the liner brought them back to Europe, landing them at Antwerp, where they found temporary refuge, June 17, 1939. Their final destinations are not yet settled, though England, France and Holland have promised to look after them for the present. A solitary woman refugee comes ashore from the St. Louis on arrival.
