BRITAIN-TRANSPORT-WEATHER

The Christmas holiday plans of tens of thousands of air passengers hung in the balance Friday as thick fog led to flight cancellations and severe delays at British airports. London's Heathrow airport has been the worst affected, with more than 300 flights cancelled Friday as the chaos continues into a third day. Forecasters at Britain's Meteorogical Office estimate that patches of fog could linger until Monday, Christmas Day, especially in England and Wales. AFP PHOTO/ADRIAN DENNIS
