Sep. 09, 1955 - BRITISH SHIELDS FOR AMERICAN SOLDIERS: Medieval knights used to hang their war-scarred shields adorned with their coats-of-arms on the walls of their castles where they became the proud possessions of their descendants. American soldiers and airmen in Britain are ordering wall shields with the emblems of their units and sending them home. G.K. Beaulah and Co. Ltd., 3 Prince Street, Kingston-upon-Hull, Yorkshire, England, a firm specializing in heraldic wall shields and plaques, has so far completed hundreds of orders for U.S. servicemen.
