A VET SAWS OPEN COCONUT TO EXTRACT MONKEY'S HAND IN BANGKOK

BAN03:BANGKOK,THAILAND,30SEP98 - A veterinarian saws open a coconut in which a monkey's hand was trapped for three weeks at an animal hospital in Bangkok September 29. The monkey put his hand in a small hole in the shell to try to get coconut meat. The arm is seriously injured and might have to be amputated.
