Tin Pan Alley , Denmark Street , A Hundred Yards of Song . Thirty one firms packed in a narrow street give you the tunes you whistle at work and sing in the bath . They call it the Opium Den . It's a relic of pre war days , when the building belonged to a Japanese restaurant . Hardly big enough to swing a cat in , yet just room enough for the inevitable paraphernalia of a publisher's office - piano , gramophone , desk .
