Aug. 24, 1963 - Spotter Bots Say They Saw Crash - Two Teenage Train Spotters told a Crash Enquiry Yesterday how they saw a signel at danger as an 80 mph Pullman express rerared towards a station with a line of freight vans standing in its way. The Western Queen Express, brakes Full on, Could mot stop in time and it ploughed in the vans at 20 mph. Three footplatmen on the Pullman were killed. The boys, 14, of Coventry, and Paul Sliwinski, also of Conventry, aged 14, told the Ministry of Transport enquirs at Birmingham that then he express rounded the abend in the station at nearly 40 mph.
