Nov. 11, 1962 - Queen visits Richmond Poppy factory.: The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh this afternoon visited the British Legion poppy factory at Richmond, Surrey, Disabled war veterans work at the factory, making the millions of poppies which are sold on November 11, Remembrance Day, throughout Britain. Photo shows The Queen talks to Mr. E Hill, 669 year-old war veteran who is busy making the wreath which she will lay on the Cenotaph on Remembrance Day.
