Nov. 08, 1968 - Bruce Reynolds Arrested Five Years After The Great Train Robbery: Bruce Reynolds, 37, wanted for questioning in connection with the Great Train Robbery, was arrested in Torquay early today. He was in bed in a luxury villa overlooking Torbay Harbor when Detective Superintendent Tom Butler, of Scotland Yard, made the swoop with other detectives. Reynolds was with his wife and two children at the time of the arrest. He has been wanted by Scotland Yard since the Great Train Robbery in August 1963, when more than ~2,500,000 was stolen from a Glasgow-to-Euston mail train at Cheddington, Buckinghamshire. Photo shows Detective Chief Superintendent Tom Butler, of Scotland Yard, who made the arrest. This picture was taken at Buckingham Palace last year after he received the M.B.E. at an investiture.
