Meeting of the south-western states' bosses

The state bosses of Württemberg-Baden, Baden and Württemberg-Hohenzollern hold a conversation in a meeting in Wildbad on 15 October 1950. One can see: (left-right) Reinhold Maier, Edmund Kaufmann, Gebhard Müller and Leo Wohleb. The majority of the population of the three south-western states of Germany had declared for the formation of a common federal state in a referendum on 9 December 1951. In the end, the states Baden, Württemberg-Baden and Württemberg-Hohenzollern formed the federal state Baden-Württemberg on 25 April 1952.
