The "Schnabelperchten", figures from Pre-Christian Alpine tradition, are among the last symbolic customs of the Alpine country which are still in existence in their original form. The picture shows inhabitants of the old market town Rauris who wear masks and put on beaks on the evening before Three Kings Day.
