Namibia Leaders Return 1989

More than 8,000 people supporting SWAPO gathered outside the Windhoek Airport, June 18, 1989 in Namibia to welcome home to Namibia senior leaders of the party that had been in exile since the early 1960âäôs. SWAPO internal organization arranged a music group to sing protest songs to keep the crowd occupied while they waited more than six hours for their leaders to arrive from Luanda, Angels.
