Sep. 09, 1955 - New records set up in parachute contest in the U.S.S.R. Ãø€âäœ The 8th U.S.S.R. Parachute Contest ended recently at Tushino Aerodrome, near Moscow. A number of new world height records were set up. Keystone Photo Shows: G. Mukhina who beat the national and world records for the combined jumps from an altitude of 1,600 metres with delayed opening of the parachute and landing in a circle.
