Nov. 11, 1968 - Catamaran Trials On The Thames: Trials of Britain's first passenger-carrying catamaran, the 180-seat m.v. Suerita are taking place on the Thames. The Suerita will go into service as a pleasure craft on the River Thames shortly before next Eater, operating between Greenwich Pier and Hampton Court, calling at Tower Pier and possibly Hammersmith. It will be available before then, after its trials, for private and education trips. These trips are expected to begin next month.
